Project Manager - Adult Mental Health Centre Townsville

We are seeking a Project Manager - Adult Mental Health Centre (AMHC) Townsville to join our team in either the Cairns, Townsville, or Mackay office. The Project Manager is responsible for for project development, management, and implementation of the Adult Mental Health Centre, Townsville.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of and be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a health related or human services discipline and/or five years leadership position, specifically within non-government mental health or primary health care services.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of contemporary population health concepts and demonstrated high-level understanding of opportunities and challenges in the implementation of this model in the North Queensland region.
  • Significant high-level knowledge of, or ability to conduct cohesive networking and stakeholder engagement of NGO, community services, and primary health sector across the NQPHN region.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing mental health projects within a community engagement context using a project management approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and CALD population.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management, with high level of understanding of probity requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience of high level written and verbal communication skills and negotiation skills supporting the development of high quality project plans.
