Against all odds. How one non-profit found innovative ways to sustain service to those who relied on it!

The financial ramifications of the pandemic have left many non-profits battling to maintain service levels. And, for all too many charities, this has also become a struggle for their own survival.

Boards are examining potential mergers, collaborations, and partnerships, sometimes with the prospect of a ‘wind-up’ hovering ominously close.

Noah’s Ark Resource Centre was one such organisation until former Chair, Daniel Griffiths and Chief Executive, Joanne Thornton helped find solutions that:

  • ensured its member services survived
  • surplus assets and valuable library resources were transferred to a worthy new home
  • the legacy of Noah’s Ark Resource Centre lived on to pay homage to those associated with this vital community service.
