Meningococcal disease is a diagnosis that every clinician must keep at the back of their mind when assessing those who may have an infectious disease. This presentation includes recent changes to the National Immunisation Program to include meningococcal B vaccination for some high risk groups.

Dr Pradeep Jayasuriya – IV Iron in General Practice – A Practical Guide

This is now easy to do in the GP practice setting often with excellent results, making it a very satisfying condition to treat. Pradeep is a leading expert on the topic. Professor Gordon Parker AO – Managing Borderline Personality Disorder in Primary Care
Professor Parker will describe the key features of borderline personality disorder and explain how it is best differentiated from the bipolar disorders.  Several clinical vignettes will be provided to illustrate best practice management principles followed by candid advice on how more effectively to deal with tricky and sensitive scenarios that GPs often find themselves in when dealing with this condition (and hence reduce the risk of being required to have a conversation with the Medical Board).
