Musculoskeletal conditions comprise some of the most commonly managed health concerns in general practice. According to General Practice: Health of the Nation 2019, musculoskeletal conditions are the second highest health issue that patients talk to their GP about.
Patients with these conditions have higher rates of poor health, psychological distress and reduced participation in work and education. Pain resulting from chronic musculoskeletal conditions is a major health problem, which affects approximately 30% of the population.
General practitioners and other primary care health workers play a pivotal role in the diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of musculoskeletal conditions and associated pain.
Note: ALMs require participants to complete online predisposing and reinforcing activities on top of full workshop attendance.
