New tender encourages new and enhanced collaborative partnerships

Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is calling on engagement experts to assist in the review and redevelopment of its stakeholder engagement framework.

NQPHN has today announced a new tender which seeks consultants to help develop a framework to improve partnerships between NQPHN, the local community, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will develop a process to help NQPHN collaborate with stakeholders to increase awareness of the health needs, priorities, and diversity of the region, and improve the overall health and wellbeing of its communities.

NQPHN Executive Director Clinical Governance and Performance Gillian Yearsley said the framework will clearly demonstrate how NQPHN will engage with its communities, families, individuals, general practitioners, and other primary health service providers.

“Stakeholder engagement plays a significant role in our commissioning process,” Mrs Yearsley said.

“Through effective engagement, NQPHN can ensure that the feedback and views of the health sector and community are used to inform the assessment of health needs across communities.

“This tender will strengthen the way NQPHN and its stakeholders work together to address these local issues and inspire innovative co-designing solutions.”

Mrs Yearsley said NQPHN serves a significant population of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

“This newly-developed stakeholder engagement framework will be culturally sensitive, and accommodate the specific needs and expectations of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities in the NQPHN region,” she said.

“We look forward to collaborating further with key stakeholders and the community moving forward, to improve the wellbeing of northern Queenslanders, and helping them to live happier, healthier, longer lives.”
