MENTAL HEALTH GUIDE | Townsville Bulletin, Townsville Hospital and Health Service, Mackay Hospital and Health Service, and Northern Queensland PHN have teamed up to produce the Mental Health Guide.

The Mental Health Guide aims to reduce stigma around mental health, provide info on where to go to get help if you or a loved one are struggling, and shares stories from North Queenslanders on their strategies of overcoming mental illness and how they stay mentally healthy.

The guide also puts the call out to the community as a whole to take the #checkyourmates challenge, asking everyone to pick up the phone or visit five mates this week.

It's time to be candid about mental health and take responsibility for having real and honest conversations with loved ones about our mental wellbeing.

Grab a copy of the guide in today's Townsville Bulletin, Daily Mercury, or Cairns Post newspapers.
