A typical day in the general practice would include administering vaccines, wound care, triage, assisting with minor procedures, stock control, health assessments, and managing patients with chronic health conditions.

Slade Point Medical Centre is looking for a General Practitioner to join the team in a busy medical practice located in Mackay.

They require a committed General Practitioner who is able to engage with patients and provide medical services to the Mackay community.

The General Practitioner will be required to:

  • assess the needs of patients, diagnose conditions and recommend courses of treatment
  • prescribe relevant medications and prepare prescription forms
  • refer patients to specialists as needed
  • work well with administrative staff, allied health professionals, and other general practitioners to ensure the best service is provided to patients and the success of the practice
  • maintain knowledge of industry best-practices
  • access imaging, blood, and testing services outside of the practice
  • prepare high quality medical reports from patient consultations.

Requirements: Slade Point Medical require a General Practitioner with at least a bachelor degree qualification and one year of training in a hospital environment.
