Introduction to Primary Sense

Posted Friday 17 May 2024 | Northern Queensland Primary Health Network

Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) is currently rolling out Primary Sense, free of charge, across the northern Queensland region and invite general practices to attend an introductory webinar.

Primary Sense will replace CAT+ and TopBar as the preferred data extraction and quality improvement tool for PIP-QI, and NQPHN projects for practices currently running MedicalDirector or Best Practice.

Primary Sense is a PHN-owned and operated clinical decision support tool for GPs. It extracts deidentified general practice data and uses evidence-based algorithms to provide GPs with real time medical alerts, reports, and patient care prompts.

Primary Sense also provides general practices and PHNs with on-demand reporting to help with population management.

Presenter:

  • Dr Lisa Beecham – General Practitioner/Chair Primary Sense Clinical Advisory Committee
