What is Health eMinds ECHO? 

  • Build capacity: Share telehealth knowledge and experiences to improve healthcare quality.
  • Free interactive sessions: Explore diverse telehealth health topics through engaging case-based discussions.
  • Open to all: Welcoming clinical and non-clinical healthcare workers across Northern Australia.
  • Regular sessions: 1pm - 2 pm (AEST)on the first Thursday of each month.

  • 10-minute expert presentations: Insights from subject matter experts on telehealth.
  • Case study discussions: Participants share real-life cases with the group.
  • Q&A and dialogue: Everyone can join the conversation and share thoughts and experiences.

Topic: Consumer Perspectives of Telehealth

Presenter: Renee Cook, PhD Candidate, UQ Centre for Online Health and Speech Pathologist, Metro South Health  

Presenter profile: Renee is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and PhD Candidate at the University of Queensland Centre for Online Health. Her doctoral research centres on facilitating the comprehensive integration of telehealth within allied health outpatient care. Her work addresses various requirements at the clinician, service, and organisational levels with the goal of empowering hybrid models of care delivery. These models, inclusive of telehealth, are designed to optimally align with consumer needs in allied health outpatient services.
