Federal Member for Capricornia Michelle Landry said she was thrilled the Federal Government have invested in this important satellite service for Sarina.

NQPHN CEO Robin Whyte said the new headspace satellite in Sarina will assist to address the mental health support needs of young people in the region.

“Mental health is the single biggest health issue facing young Australians, so services such as the headspace satellite in Sarina are essential to provide effective responses to young people at risk of mental health and related issues,” said Ms Whyte.

“Collaboration and consultation with local stakeholders was critical to establishing the satellite, to ensure young people in Sarina receive appropriate, quality care and support that they need, where and when they need it.

“We are proud to work in partnership with NAPHL and headspace to bring this service to Sarina to help local young people live happier, healthier, longer lives.”
