About the Practice

FNQ Family Practice is a bulk-billing medical centre, established in 2020 by two local GPs with brand new facilities and equipment. They are an AGPAL-accredited practice offering a wide range of general practice services, nurse-assisted procedures, immunisations, skin checks, sexual and reproductive health, basic medicals and testing, and much more. Open 7 days per week, until 9pm Mon-Thurs, and open on public holidays. The team consists of three regular GPs, two practice nurses, and a small administration team. Externally-run allied health services also operate on-site, as well as QML Pathology.

The practice is located in a very central area of Townsville, and directly opposite one of city's largest shopping centres, with a wide range of services situated close by, including North Queensland X-Ray, several pharmacies, and allied health services. The practice is also only a short five-minute drive to the Townsville University Hospital.

The vacant position

FNQ Family Practice are looking for a general practitioner to join their practice on a permanent basis, with negotiable hours. 

The ideal candidate must hold:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Vocational registration with FRACGP or equivalent.

Remuneration

$150/hour r for the first three months. After this period, a new remuneration rate will be negotiated.

Health & Wellbeing North Ward is looking for full or part-time VR-GP to join their team to help maintain the patient overflow.  

The practice is conveniently located in the city of Townsville, close to The Strand, Pallarenda, Shopping Centre, and many local cafes and clothes boutiques. 

Health & Wellbeing North Ward are a practice of six GPs and two registrars, with a Skin Clinic attached with three GPs. They have a great patient base, with an Aboriginal Health Nurse, Chronic Disease Management, Psychologist, Dietician, Exercise Physiologist, and Life Coach on staff.

The clinic is well equipped and has all good branded, working equipment, and is accredited with AGPAL. 

The practice offers all aspects of general practice with a high focus on childhood and family health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and chronic disease management.

Health & Wellbeing North Ward understands the needs of doctors and believes in providing highly knowledgeable and efficient management, reception, and nursing teams to ensure that their doctors can work easily and more efficiently. 

Are you a Registrar? They are Accredited by RACGP! Please note that Health & Wellbeing North Ward are not in a DPA, so are unable to accept applications for overseas trained GPs requiring supervision, at this stage. 

Essential criteria

• VR-GP FRACGP/FACRRM or equivalent.
• General registration.
• RACGP registrar.
• Eligible for a provider number.
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

MMC currently have two positions available within their clinic.

• assist doctors with minor procedures, including excisions and Mirena insertions
• wound care and removal of sutures
