National launch of First Nations Support Line

The First Nations Services Support Line is offering free* telephone and email support on general ear and hearing health information for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

The Support Line provides First Nations communities with direct access to culturally trained audiologist. The Support Line aims to:

  • help primary health care workers in conducting hearing assessments through over the phone guidance
  • assist teachers and early education staff in creating inclusive learning environments
  • answer Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families on their ear and hearing health questions.

The Support Line is available 8.30am to 5pm (AEST) Monday to Friday, by calling 134 432 and selecting option 4.

General practices and ACCHOs are welcome to display the flyer in their waiting room/foyer for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to see.

*The Support Line excludes over the phone hearing assessment services or clinical consultation. Other services may attract fees.
