Occupational Therapist

Cairns Occupational Therapy (COT) would like to nurture another Occupational Therapist (OT) so they can expand their unique caseloads and so you can learn more than you ever thought you needed to know from working closely with their experienced Occupational Therapists. COT will work diligently with you to ensure you never feel that you have been “thrown in the deep end”. They want their staff to feel skilled and confident, with just the right amount of challenge to thrive.

Their fantastic admin staff are able to keep your focus on clinical work. 

They have a supportive team of 8 OTs with diverse caseloads including:

  • home modification and assistive technology prescription (NDIS, DVA, CTP, ACP)
  • work rehabilitation services  
  • scar, swelling and lymphoedema management
  • neurological rehab
  • hand, wrist and arm therapy including soft tissue injury management 
  • pain management therapy.

In July 2022, COT will move into their upsized rooms at Calanna Health Centre, Woree, where it's easy to get to, easy parking.

Experience in one of COT's caseloads is preferred, but not essential. If you have a passion for providing client focussed care, they can help you build your professional future.

For this position you need to have:

  • APHRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • a willingness to learn and become an excellent OT
  • a long term commitment to living and working in Cairns, Far North Queensland
  • empathy, patience, respect, and kindness
  • the ability to consistently work full or part time depending on your need.
