NQPHN is calling for nurses in North Queensland to apply for two scholarships.

Are you a nurse working in primary health care in the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) region?

In support of an ongoing commitment to empower health care professionals in primary care, NQPHN is calling for nurses in North Queensland to apply for two scholarships.

These scholarships are aimed at nurses interested in pursuing advanced training to enhance the delivery of primary health care services within the North Queensland region.

NQPHN, in partnership with Queensland University of Technology (QUT), is providing scholarships, which have been designed specifically for nurses working in general practice, primary health care, and Aboriginal medical services.

The scholarships are intended to support eligible individuals in their pursuit of a:

• Graduate Certificate (Primary Health Care) (NS32)

• Master of Nurse Practitioner (NS90)

Applications close 5pm, Friday 1 December 2023.

You will also gain an extended scope of practice that allows for independent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of clients, along with access to Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) billing items, broadening your impact and contribution to primary health care.
