New funding opportunity for BBV and STI activities

The Department of Health has released details of a new funding opportunity for activities that support the National Response to Blood Borne Viruses (BBV) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).

With a total of $2.5 million available, this funding opportunity is intended to fund a number of smaller scale, innovative pilot projects able to be implemented nationally with a focus on increasing BBV and STI testing and treatment, awareness, and prevention. This will relate to the implementation of the current National Strategies for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, and STIs.

Between $250,000 to $500,000 (GST exclusive) over two years is available for single projects. Applicants are able to bid for multiple projects. Accessible via the Grant Connect website the funding opportunity is open to activities in all states and territories.

Submission closing date: 17 May 2021.
