Health Students Help GROW a Rural Health Workforce in Northern Queensland
From Friday 9 September to Sunday 11 September, 27 health students will head to the Northern Queensland communities of Atherton, Mareeba, and Ravenshoe where they will participate in Health Workforce Queensland’s (HWQ's) GROW Rural Program which will take place in Northern Queensland for the first time. This new cohort will participate in GROW Rural North Queensland (GROW Rural NQ) each year for the next three years.

Primary Care Engagement Team
As part of NQPHN’s commitment to primary care providers, the organisation is pledging investment and effort to ensure that primary care is well placed to respond to the emerging health needs of the North Queensland community.
The Primary Care Engagement (PCE) Team aims to assist primary care providers to maintain highly effective and sustainable practices. The team works to build workforce capacity and capability of GPs and other primary care professionals and their teams to meet the demands for primary care services through integrated, coordinated, and responsive service provision.
